HCTAC TOURNAMENT RULES
1. There must be a minimum of 4 adults in each group. (May be waived at the discretion of at least 2 officers).
2. There must be 2 score keepers per group. Scores must be tallied and verified before both sets of score cards are turned in.
3. Score keepers must go to the target to score before any arrows are pulled.
4. No arrows shall be pulled until BOTH scorekeepers have agreed upon and scored each arrow.
5. Each group of shooters shall settle any scoring discrepancies amongst themselves.
6. Any young person under 17 years of age must shoot under adult supervision.
7. All adults and youths shoot from the yellow stake. Cubs shoot from the white stake. Pee Wees shoot from where they want.
8. Some part of the shooter’s body must touch the stake designated for their shooting class for the shot to count. Failure to do so will result in an X or 0 for that target.
9. Recurves, longbows and primitive bows only. (Primitive bows being made of NATURAL MATERIALS only, no fiberglass or carbon).
10. Recurve and longbow classes may shoot arrows of any composition. Wood, aluminum, fiberglass, carbon, etc. Wood or cane arrows only for primitive class.
11. Target points only, no blunts or broadheads, no weight restrictions.
12. Arrows may be shot off of hand, bow shelf or elevated rest.
13. Arrows must stick in the target to score.
14. Arrows must touch the scoring ring to score the higher score.
15. No breaking of limbs, twigs or otherwise altering the shooting area. DO NOT move shooting stakes or targets.
16. Each group of shooters is allowed one look at a “dry run” on any running or moving target.
17. No binoculars or range finders allowed on the range.
18. If a shooter registers in more than one class a different bow must be shot in each different class.
19. Targets must be shot in the correct numerical order. (1 thru 30).
20. All scoring rounds must be must be completed and scores turned in before shooting any fun round. (Ironman competition is considered a scoring round).
21. Ironman targets must be shot in strict numerical order starting on target one. No exceptions.
22. Do not leave cigarette butts or any other trash on the range (receptacles are provided).
